2015 Hudson Bay Day Knap-in Announcement

DuPont Historical Society and DuPont Tourism Board are sponsoring the Fort Nisqually  Hudson Bay Day and Salmon BBQ on Sunday, August 16, 2015.  The event will take place in the DuPont Fire Department fire bay and surrounding grounds directly across the street from the original 1843 Fort Nisqually site. (1780 Civic Dr, DuPont, WA 98327).  

The Puget Sound Knappers have been invited to demonstrate the ancient art of flintknapping throughout the day. If you can attend please let Jim Keffer  or Mick Hill know.


Directions and Maps

From the North (Seattle)

 1. Get on I5 Southbound and continue to Center Dr. in Dupont (34 minutes)

 2. Take Exit 118/Center Drive from I5 south

 3. Follow Center Drive to Civic Drive

 4. DuPont Fire Department fire bay and surrounding grounds will be on the right

 

From the South(Olympia)

 1. Get on I5 Northbound and continue to Center Dr. in Dupont (12 miles)

 2. Take exit 118 to merge onto Center Dr

 3. Follow Center Drive to Civic Drive

 4. DuPont Fire Department fire bay and surrounding grounds will be on the right
